I always put €5 under my child’s pillow when he loses a milk tooth, but there have been 65 teeth under his pillow so far and I am running out of money for this month. I thought nothing of it until one night, when I heard a strange noise coming from his bedroom. I rushed in to find him standing in the corner, staring at the pillow with a look of terror on his face.
He pointed to the pillow and said, “Mommy, there’s something under there!” I looked and saw a small, pale hand poking out from under the pillow. I screamed and ran out of the room, but when I looked back, the hand had vanished.
The next morning, I found my son lying in bed, pale and still. I shook him and he slowly opened his eyes. He told me he had seen a ghostly figure in his room that night, and that it had put something under his pillow. I looked and saw a single, white tooth.
I shuddered, knowing that the ghost had come to take my son’s life in exchange for the 65 teeth I had put under his pillow. I vowed never to put money under his pillow again.
